Hello Block ll'ers! Thanks so much for your offerings! You've been so prolific and inspirational for directions I'd like to be taking!
This first text sums up exactly how I felt when i worked the block with Karen. Collaboration is so profound and uplifting when the shackles of ownership and product are thrown aside. The process of collaborating is amazingly exhilarating and leads you to consider your practice with a greater degree of objectivity when you know someone is there with you. I started to question my use of digital media and tracked back how I ever got into using computers after studying painting and printmaking 22 years ago. I guess what we’re doing is going back to our human roots. I can’t really imagine Bronze Age people creating anything by themselves because to collaborate was to survive. Your post has given me much to think about.
